May 24, 2025 Meeting Minutes
Board Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date: May 24, 2025
Meeting Site: Gary Waller’s home
Members present: Gary Waller, Dave Zabel, Richard Pautsch, Scott Rortvedt, Terry Groves.
1) Annual Meeting: Terry is working with Kathy to get the meeting flyer finalized. We reviewed last year’s flyer and made the necessary corrections. The plan is to have the flyer sent out by mid-June. The meeting will be at Runestone Park on Saturday, July 5th. Dave will pick up donuts and we will ask Roger and Carol McCannon for advice/assistance with coffee. We are suggesting people bring chairs, just in case.
2) Treasurer report: Terry had distributed the treasurer’s report in advance of the meeting. He asked if there were any comments or concerns and there were none.
3) Directory: Les has been busy selling ads for the directory and Terry has update the address list. Once the proof is done, it will be sent out for review. The directory will be distributed at the annual meeting.
4) Red Rock Merchandise: The new merchandise ordering system is up and running. Everything is able to be done online and product is shipped directly to the purchaser. The link for the ordering system is available on the association website and also the association Facebook page.
5) Wildflowers: Gary had the bags of wildflower seeds at the meeting and Scott brought the 2oz containers to fill. After Gary had filled all 50 of the cups he had barely made a dent in the supply, so Scott ordered some larger containers and had them shipped to Gary. We will distribute the seed at the annual meeting and encourage people to plant them along their lakeshore.
6) Boat Parade- The Ewins family had agreed to coordinate the annual 4th of July weekend boat parade again this year. The board appreciates them getting this started a few years ago and continuing to keep the tradition going. The association will cover the cost of hot dogs and condiments that will be served at the access at the conclusion of the parade.
Next Meeting: 10:00 am Saturday, July 19 at Gary Waller’s house.
Respectfully submitted,
Scott Rortvedt
